For a year or two, I would check the forums daily, run every ReSharper EAP build that came out, and generally salivate at the thought of a JetBrains IDE for C#. I kept seeing posts like "we'll get the next version of ReSharper out before we focus on the IDE" all the time. There was talk of "it will probably be priced similarly to our Java IDE". OK, fine. I got tired of relentlessly checking and re-checking for news of the IDE and just decided to be patient.
That was my mistake. Did you think we stopped caring? I would have paid the full VS Enterprise price for a JetBrains C# IDE - without even blinking. Just because ReSharper makes Visual Studio suck less, please don't interpret that to mean that we like Visual Studio!
Please, Please, Please! Make that IDE! Please!
I'm working with VS since 4 or 5 Years and with Resharper since more than 2.
I defenitly agree to Kevin's opinion of the Resharper. GREAT, MAKES VS AN
IDE. And since the announcement of a JetBrains C# IDE I hoped to get it as
soon as possible. And since the posting (1 Y ago), that there wont be a own
IDE I always hoped, that there will be news like "When we were looking at
our desk we found something new: our own IDE"
I give you another + 1000000000000000.
Please do it. Just do it. DO IT!!!!!!
