Creating an HTML Project

I've just installed Astella and I can't seem to create any type of project other than a Flash/Flex project.

When I click new Project I cannot get past the screen where you select the Project Name, Location etc without selecting a Flex SDK.

Even if I uncheck Create module I still cannot continue creating a project.

Am I missing something here? How can I do HTML5/JS development with Astella?

Re: Creating an HTML Project

Hi Mike,

At the moment you have to create Flex project to work on HTML/CSS/JS files. We're currently working on 'Create HTML5 project' option to make it available in the next EAP builds.

For now you have several workarounds:

1. Download and unpack attached 'fake_flex_sdk.zip' file and choose its location when creating Flex project (you can also uncheck 'create sample app' checkbox). Then right-click your 'src' folder in Project view and choose 'New->JavaScript file' or 'New->XHTML/HTML file'.

2. If you plan to work with HTML5-code only, you can download WebStorm (release or latest EAP build which is a special IDE for web development.

Cheers,

Kirill
