gray out run on webstorm

Hi all

i start using webstorm and after a day of good work with it, i found i cant save the configuration to run my node.js app.

when i select node executable, working directory and my app.js nothing will be happened.

im using the lastest trial version.

i attached the configuration.

Hi,

 

Do you mean it doesn't start? Does it display any error dialog or balloon?

no nothing

after the configuration the run is still grayed out.

i cannot start node in this situation.

What exactly is greyed out? Can you attach a screenshot?

Thanks, I do not see any run configuration selected in the drop down. You need it to look something like this:

Do you have anything in dropdown list?

the problem is when i try to select something from dropdown list the option it gaves me is "edit configuration..."

it seems my configuration has never been saved before.

Do you press OK in run configuration dialog after you enter your settings? Can you record a screencast? (using e.g. screenr.com)

Got it now. You're changing the default run configuration - these settings will be assigned to a new one when you create it. You need to hit '+' button at the top-left: http://clip2net.com/s/2Ls3o.
