speed on windows - collecting data

I am using the 30 day eval on windows - XP, 3GB RAM, older machine.  When debugging and stepping through script, I get "Collecting Data".  This can take a few seconds.

However, it makes debugging almost unusable.

Is there any way I can make this faster?

Thanks,

- Nilanjan

What version of  RubyMine and ruby are you using?

Also what version of ruby debugging gems are used for ebugginh (check output of debuger's window).

Recently we have fixed several performance problems in debugger thus one possible option could be just update the gems.

Re: speed on windows - collecting data

Hi,

could you please try to disable Settings|DebuggerRuby|"Read frames of non-suspended threads"

If it helps then it is a known issue and it supposed to be fixed in 6.0.1 (so you can just update RubyMine)

Regards, Oleg.
