Recently, whenever I load my current project in PHPStorm (it autoloads that project when I start up, which is what I want), it spends an enormous amount of time "scanning project directories". All in, loading the project can take more than 10 minutes.
I've tried deleting my profile folder in ~/.WebIde60, and that meant that the project loaded very quickly the first time I restarted PHPStorm thereafter, but it's back to "normal" and slow ever since then!
Any ideas as to why this could be?
I'm on Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS ("precise"), and my PHPStorm version is 6.0 (#PS-127.100)
I've now upgraded to #PS-129.814. The first time I started PHPStorm after upgrading, the project loaded quickly. Thereafter, it's been slow again.
I'm also able to cancel the "scanning project directories" step. Originally, this was followed by a "scanning project files" step: If I also cancelled that, the project didn't load. Since upgrading, however, cancelling the first step seems to be enough to avoid the long wait and to load the project.
I'd still like to know what's going on here, though!
